Audio-Visual Technician Position
We are now looking to hire someone to be responsible for our Audio-Visual (A/V) booth, and to coordinate volunteer schedules.
Responsibilities & Expectations:
  • Maintain an active and growing relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Communicate well and often with worship leaders and volunteers.
  • Collaborate with other worship team members to ensure a cohesive presentation of Sunday services and other church programs
  • Assure that the lights, sound, and other presentation components are set up and work well for our Sunday worship services and special programs
  • Take visual or sound cues from the music director, worship leader, pastor, or other individuals
  • Connect worship services to radio outreach and recorded services and events on various online media for future use
  • Set up and store cords/microphones and other audio-visual equipment used in worship
  • Train and manage volunteers in the use of the audio-visual systems of the church
  • Coordinate audio-visual volunteer schedule for all services and special events, as needed
  • Update weekly PowerPoint announcement slides
  • Maintain privacy of information as outlined in church operating procedures.
  • Possess a high school diploma or a GED certificate.

Nursery Workers

We are looking for a few folk to care for children during both worship services on Sunday mornings and during other events. Contact our Children's Director, Sarah Thomson, if you have questions.

Volunteer Opportunities:

Volunteers from the congregation and community play a vital role at Walla Walla Presbyterian Church. From making coffee to answering phones; cooking meals for the homeless to Sunday childcare; playing music for services to leading youth and children's events (and so much more), volunteers are what keep things going around here. If you are interested in spending some time lending a hand, please contact the office to see where you might be needed or to offer a particular skill or time.
  • A/V Booth.  Someone's gotta turn on the lights! ... And run the PowerPoint and the microphones.  If you like electronics, music, or the Arts, this is the volunteer opportunity for you--and don't worry:  We'll train you!
  • Nursery Helpers. We need nursery volunteers to watch children during both worship services. Other times include Wednesday evenings during Wednesdays @ First & Birch and several Monday's a month for Young Adult Group. If you can help once or twice a month contact Sarah or pick up an application at the church office. (We provide Background Checks and First Aid/CPR training free of charge.) 
  • Sunday School Teachers. We are looking for a couple of people to assist with the Sunday Morning Children's Classes this Fall. There are openings at both 9:01am & 10:31am class times. If you are able to help even once a month, please contact Sarah (Children), Kevin (Youth), or Fern (Adult)
  • Kitchen Help. We need folk to volunteer once a month on Wednesday evenings cleaning dishes after dinner from Wednesdays @ First & Birch. Contact Ethel Giard or call the church office for details.
