The Alpha Course

You may have heard mention recently about the Alpha Course around Walla Walla. First Presbyterian will be resuming Alpha on Wednesday, September 4th, at 6pm. If you have questions about Christianity, the Meaning of Life, or are struggling with how faith in God balances with the realities of pain in the world, this is a safe place to consider those questions with others. A faith commitment is not a prerequisite to join in. Whether you have already committed your life to Jesus, or are just curious, the invitation is the same; to enter in conversation together. The Alpha Course lasts 11 weeks and we hope that you are able to come if you feel the Lord putting this on your heart. Please let us know if we can be of assistance or answer any questions for you.

WHAT IS ALPHA? The Alpha course covers the basics of Christianity. It answers questions like: “Who is Jesus?” “Why did he die?” “Why and how do I pray?” “Why and how should I read the Bible?” “Is there more to life than this? “ “How can I…

Bible Studies in 2013

We begin the new year with Bible Study opportunities for members of our congregation and the community of Walla Walla. We hope that you are able to share in the joy of learning more about our Lord and who we are in light of those discoveries.

Young Adults

Are you in your 20s, 30s, or 40s? We invite you to come to our Young Adults groups, an intentional group that meets at least twice a month. We all know where we are in life and if this is a group that will benefit us as we journey from adolescence to adulthood and beyond...

We usually meet together for a social fellowship time once or twice a month. Check the newsletter, website, or facebook for details, addresses, etc. or make sure Kevin has your email to send you a reminder. Next social events:
October 20th: Bowling @ Bowl-A-Way Lanes.November 6th: Pottery @ Carnegie.
Our Study time is currently on hold.

If you have any questions, ideas or would like to be a part of this ministry and fellowship (including hosting the group), email Kevin, call us at the church, or just show up at one of the gatherings! Need childcare? contact Kevin and we'll see if one of our youth might be available to babysit!

Annual Ice Skating & Chili Feed (Jan. 6th)

On Sunday, the 6th, we will be having our all-ages Ice Skating Party at the YWCA followed by games and Chili-Feed at the church. Meet at the Ice Chalet at 4:30pm and show us your skills on skates! Bring the family, friends, and folk you meet during the week! We need YOU to show us how to do this right!

At 5:30pm we will walk across the street and head to the Church basement, where a meal of chili, cornbread, hot dogs, and sides will be waiting for us. Socialize with those at your table or play a number of game possibilities (ping pong, pool, air hockey, cards, Wii, etc). Feel free to come just for the dinner* if Ice Skating isn't your thing.

This church and community wide event is a wonderful way to connect with each other and have fun at the same time. Suggested donation for the entire event is $3/person or $10/family. We hope to see you there!
