Remembering Eleanor Burgess...

Eleanor Burgess went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 and we rejoice in her Peace with God as we mourn the loss to family, congregation, and community. Our prayers are with Eleanor's family during this time.

To read Eleanor's obituary you can click here. Also to sign an on line gust book for Eleanor you can click here.

A Memorial Service was held August 16th at 11am for family and friends here at Walla Walla Presbyterian Church.   Gifts and contributions in memory of  Mrs Burgess may be made to Walla Walla Presbyterian Church.

Community Coffeehouse, August 8th

This Friday night we have a great opportunity to invite friends, family, and the community to join us as we put on our first Coffeehouse evening in the church basement and the Pantry Shelf. Drop by anytime between 6:00 and 9:30pm through the Pantry Shelf doors off of 1st Ave and beat the heat in the cool basement.

Not quite a talent show, yet not an open mic, this event will feature several congregation and community musicians and artists throughout the evening. This is a free event, and we encourage attendees to bring a non-perishable food item for the Pantry Shelf food bank. Coffee drinks, Italian sodas, and baked goods will be offered for sale with the proceeds going toward the Pantry Shelf of Walla Walla.

Folk will be able to tour the Pantry Shelf and get an idea of what and how they serve the community. You may also be encouraged to volunteer with them once or twice a month, serving those in need.

Contact the church office or Eric Aeschliman for details.

End of Summer VBS

Countdown to the funnest weekend in the universe!

As kids explore God's infinite love, they'll practice down-to-earth ways to love each other.
This weekend VBS takes place August 15th - 17th; Friday and Saturday evenings, and Sunday morning in the church basement. Kids looking for the best way to end their Summer learn one powerful Bible point, make gifts for those in the community, and share the excitement with the WWPC congregation on Sunday morning.
There are only 45 spots available for this end-of-Summer event, so be sure to register your child(ren) now! Forms are available in the church office or contact Sarah Thomson. The cost is $15 per child (scholarships available).
We can't wait to Blast Off together!
